What My 5- and 3-Year-Old Kids Ate for Breakfast Today
If you have young kids, you know the struggle.
My kids, ages 5 and 3, aren’t exactly big eaters. And like many kids their age, they really do love snacking on junk food—cookies, chips, candy.. and I am pretty sure they would eat dirt when no one sees… and even ants.
Who knows? I don’t want to know. Let’s keep that door closed. 🤦♀️
Since I have absolutely no control over what they eat once they’re at school, we try our best to give them a solid breakfast before they head out the door—and a good dinner when they come home.
Today’s breakfast was open Avocado Sandwiches with some plums.
Now, I should give credit where it’s due.
My husband is the cook in our family. He’s a total foodie and genuinely enjoys cooking.
(Me? I could probably survive on kimchi and rice for an entire year without complaining.)
He’s also annoyingly good at plating food. Luckily, our kids get to enjoy the results.
It’s not always a picture-perfect breakfast. Some mornings are just toast and cereal. But when time allows, this is the kind of meal we like to start the day with.
I’d love to know—what’s one breakfast your kids actually eat without a negotiation?
(Also, what food could you survive on for a month just like me with kimchi and rice?😜)
